What if a brewer looking for new, surprising flavour combinations could be inspired by AI? Beer brewery De Molen is introducing a machine that can do just that at International Beer Festival Borefts. The 'What if Machine'.
Artificial Inspiration
The brewers of the experimental Brewery De Molen are only satisfied if they regularly brew something special. A beer that is 'off the charts'. That results in many new beers. This is why they launch dozens of new beers every year.
Earlier this year, the brewers were already inspired by our AI experiments and actually made an AI-inspired beer: Man & Machine. The whated more and so the 'What if Machine' was born. With the 'What If Machine', we invite visitors to De Molen Brewery's annual beer festival Borefts to collaborate with AI to inspire the brewers with unexpected flavour combinations. Because inspiration can come from all angles... like your mood or the colour of your beer. The machine analyses this personal input, and based on this, the 'What if Machine' comes up with the craziest combinations. De Molen's experts will work with the results of the 'What if Machine' and see what they, combined with their own beer knowledge, can brew from it.
